Bella Hadid Gets Cheeky In Milkmaid-Like Dress And Nike Shox Dad Shoes – Footwear News
Bella Hadid took archival clothing to the next level, as she wore a 1997 Comme Des Garçons dress to the Create & Cultivate LA conference this weekend in Los Angeles.
The model’s pink gingham dress was sleeveless with a high collar layered with gathers to the waist. The skirt flared to the ankles. The dress looked like a modernized dairy-inspired silhouette with more sophistication, but conveying the same kind of vibe.
Hadid accessorized with a cuff, gold earrings and simple but still chic rings for the occasion.
Nike Shox sneakers are the ultimate dad shoe, but they’ve grown in the past year for their irregular sole and versatility. The white and gray Nike Shox Hadid wore gave a playful and certainly sporty edge to the Gunne Sax or Prairie Dress equivalent. Sneakers can be versatile enough for activewear or year 2000 inspired outfits.
Hadid was joined by Winnie Harlow in a long-sleeved white dress with a chunky belt and strappy sandals; and Olivia Culpo in a white halter top with high waisted shorts and black pumps.
Hadid is known for wearing some of the most sought-after designers on the runway and on the red carpet. Her relaxed style, however, leans more towards laid-back trends, favoring oversized pieces, cropped tops and inspiration from ’90s fashion. While Hadid made a name for herself as a model for Tom Ford, Givenchy and Chanel, she’s been a Nike ambassador, which matches her laid-back, laid-back style. As a model, she landed high profile campaign deals with Calvin Klein, Michael Kors, Balmain and Dior.
