The event takes place on Sunday, December 5 with a 3k race for runners ages eight and up and a 1k family run for all ages.

Participants are encouraged to dress in their best Santa hats and outfits and enjoy the festive music and the ringing of bells as they run through the park.

And runners who show off their bibs can also enjoy a ride on the miniature railway that will run the same day.

The event is organized by Active Communities, a registered charity established to promote and support physical activity, community sport, health and wellness throughout Renfrewshire.

This year will be the 19th event – including last year’s virtual race – which has become a favorite in many people’s festive calendars.

Unlike in previous years, numbers will be displayed to participants and registrations are only available the same day.

Everyone is encouraged to wear bells on their hats, coats, gloves, shoes or wherever you choose to be a part of the incredible ringing orchestra.

The bells will be provided on the day of your race number. Christmas themed medals will be awarded to all finishers of the race and there will be prizes for the best costume.

The start time of the race is 11 a.m. for the 3 km race and 12 p.m. for the 1 km race. The 3km run costs £ 5 for participants aged 8-17 and £ 7 for participants aged 18 and over. The 1km run costs £ 4.50 for all ages.
