What’s next for this downtown Tuckerton location
This location in downtown Tuckerton, Southern Ocean County, at the intersection of Route 9 and Route 539, was once the former location of Dunkin’ Donuts, which is now based at a new location more north on Route 9. It housed Dunkin for a time before moving.
Now the question is, what could or should be the next step for this local business opportunity? What do YOU think would be a good addition to this downtown area?

I have to be honest, it’s a tough question. I honestly found myself scratching my head trying to think of what might be a good solution to this now empty business. This location is connected to a gas station, so that could make a difference in what ends up settling in that location. This place is said to be half commercial and half gas station located along Route 9. There is also a Wawa located across the street so a convenience store seems to do double duty.
Just thinking out loud, what about a lottery outlet? A place to buy and cash in lottery tickets. Might be a quick spot to meet while refueling ⛽️ parking is limited at this location, but maybe it’s a business model that doesn’t need ample parking availability? Like I said, it’s just thinking out loud. The lottery is always in demand and it’s a type of business that wouldn’t need a huge store… what do you think? Has anyone ever opened an NJ Lottery store? Is that even possible lol I’ll be honest I don’t know the answer but you don’t want a business gathering dust… the rent is too high for that.
