Zara Tindall cries in pearls and black veil at Queen Elizabeth vigil – Footwear News

Zara Tindall paid tribute to Queen Elizabeth II during the final royal vigil around her grandmother’s coffin at Westminster Hall in London. She was part of the ceremony which brought together the eight grandchildren of the late monarch, including his brother, Prince Phillips.

Princess Anne’s youngest child wore a black bishop’s robe with a velvet peter pan collar. As for the shoes, Tindall chose classic black pumps which she teamed with black tights, in keeping with the royal tradition of the time of mourning. She accessorized with token pearl earrings and a black headband with a veil.

The black veil is a symbol of sadness and is often worn by royal women after the death of a loved one. white pearls are considered to denote purity and represent tears.

The equestrian athlete has been wearing a dark outfit all week. On September 14, she wore a black midi dress with a turn-up collar and a pleated skirt during the state procession for Queen Elizabeth II’s coffin.

Tindall and her brother Peter stood at the head of the coffin for about 15 minutes. They were joined by cousins ​​Prince Harry, Prince William, Princess Beatrice, Viscount Severn James and Lady Louise Windsor.

Buckingham Palace has said the Queen’s state funeral will take place on September 19 at 11 a.m. The Queen will rest in state at Westminster Hall for four days to allow the public to pay their respects. The fashion industry also joined the grieving nation as the British Fashion Council recommended that the shows for London Fashion Week on September 19 be revamped.
